Jamie Livingston was a New York-based photographer, film maker and circus performer. Between 1979 and 1997, he took a single picture nearly every day with a Polaroid Camera.
In 1979, Livingston received a Polaroid camera and after a few weeks noticed that he was taking about one photo a day, which subsequently evolved into the Polaroid a day project.
Livingston's Polaroid a Day charted his experiences with a brain tumor and his subsequent engagement and marriage. The day-to-day often took precedence over more unusual subjects. His photographs in and out of hospital continued up until the day of his death. He died on October 25th 1997 age 41.
Some polaroids became missing but 6,697 Polaroids remain.

Like I was twittering, there is a new movie coming out this month to looking out for. The Bang Bang club.Link to official site: thebangbangclub
The Bang Bang Club was a name associated with four photographers active within the townships of South Africa during the Apartheid period, particularly between 1990 and 1994. Kevin Carter, Greg Marinovich, Ken Oosterbroek and Joao Silva.
Two members won Pulitzer Prizes for their photography. Greg Marinovich won the Pulitzer for Spot News Photography in 1991 for his coverage of the killing of Linsaye Lindsaye Tsabalala in 1990. Kevin Carter won the Pulitzer for Featured Photography in 1994 for his famous photograph of a vulture that appeared to be stalking a starving child in southern Sudan. Vulture_Child
On April 18, 1994, during a firefight in the Tokoza township,cross-fire killed Oosterbroek and seriously injured Marinovich
In July 1994, Carter committed suicide at the age of 33.
Last year in October 23th, Silva stepped on a landmine while on patrol with US soldiers inKandahar, Afghanistan and lost both legs below the knee. This is the second time he's been injured in a warzone, with his first injury being hit by shrapnel in the face. Silva at work

Earth Hour 2011 with a little struggling
I posted some pictures on my Flickr photostream from the Earth Hour event in Johannesburg last Saturday. The Earth Hour event is becoming more and more known throughout the world. For information you can check the official website.
Something else.. I was struggling to get a part for my camera. I was looking for a new screen protector because I lost the old one somewhere. I went to Johannesburg to look for a new one but I couldn't find one, every store I was going in said my camera was too old (2007). The thing is that I'm not angry about the sales men but at the companies. Almost every week they come with a new camera and having nowadays a camera line with over 50 types of cameras. The market is overrun by cameras that are averaged and do not come in the quality range that you are paying for. Nikon, Canon, Sony they are making cameras only to make profit and don't give a damn about the customer. I'm going to call a few other compagnies for the the part I'm looking for, so... to be continued
